Website Status Checker — Is It Down?
Paste any URL and Remoterama's server will try to reach it, then explain what it found in plain English. It resolves DNS, opens the connection, and reads the HTTP status and response headers — then tells you whether the site is up, and if not, whether the problem is DNS, the origin server, a TLS certificate, or a CDN/proxy like Cloudflare (including decoding Cloudflare's 52x origin errors). The check runs server-side, so it reflects what the public internet sees, not just your own network.
The check runs from Remoterama's server (not your browser), so results reflect what the public internet sees. It reads only the status line and response headers — never page content.
How to use
- Enter a domain or full URL (e.g. example.com).
- Click Check site to run the diagnosis.
- Read the verdict and the “What this means” explanation.
- Expand Technical details for DNS, proxy, and header data.
- Hit Share this result to send a link that re-runs the check for whoever can fix it.
